Description:
Fairly woody erect branched shrub usually less than 1 m high, whitish-tomentose on the younger parts with plumose hairs; leaves linear to narrowly obovate, densely tomentose especially below like the stems, 2-7 cm long.
Spikes to 10 cm long, c. 5 mm broad; bracts and bracteoles lanceolate to ovate, white, at least partly woolly-tomentose, c. 1-2 mm long, persistent after the perianth is lost; perianth-segments usually obovate, the outer 2 larger than the inner, to 3 mm long, hairy outside; perianth of male flowers smaller than of female flowers.
Fruit 1-1.5 mm long.
