SRI BHAGAVAN’S MESSAGE ON GRATITUDE:

Q: Bhagavan, lord says that gratitude is the very important emotion. Being your devotees we have been experiencing lot of miracles Bhagavan, but gratitude doesn’t continue. What should we do and how to grow in gratitude towards Amma Bhagavan?

Sri Bhagavan says::: Man by nature is ungrateful. A Grateful person is a superior person. People who are very evolved through past lives will have gratitude. Now how to distinguish between a superior human being and inferior human being? Superior human being will have gratitude. Inferior human being will not have gratitude.

For example, there is a man in Andhra Pradesh who sells rangoli powder and whenever he needs something, he just asks his Bhagavan, “Bhagavan give me Rs. 500, Rs.100, do this, do that” that’s all. But whatever he asks, Amma Bhagavan gives him. Whatever problem he wants to be solved, Amma Bhagavan will solve. But he sells only rangoli powder. He could have easily asked Amma Bhagavan for few lakhs or crores of money, he could have got it and he could have become rich, but he did not do it. He was happy selling the rangoli powder, and only singing songs about Amma Bhagavan – he was very grateful.

There are lots of other people who have got crores of rupees from Bhagavan but they don’t have an iota of gratitude. So, another man who watched this came and asked me why Bhagavan these three, four people who became crorepathi by your grace – were initially a pauper, their condition was worse than the rangoli selling man but they have no gratitude. But this rangoli person is full of gratitude.

So I said instead of showing you the reason, we will show you directly by experience. He was given an experience. He found that the rangoli person several centuries ago was a wonderful king –with all kingly qualities. He is not clamoring for money because he has seen all those things. The other three who have become crorepathis, who have now got bungalows, cars, who have zero gratitude, were all beggars consequently in three or four lives. So, beggar quality in them has not gone and have zero gratitude, so inferior human beings. People with gratitude are superior human beings. So that is how we can find out.

Story:

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, “This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.” I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world. Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, “This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.” I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. “This is the Acknowledgment Section,” my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed. “How is it that? There’s no work going on here?” I asked.

“So sad,” the angel sighed. “After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.

“How does one acknowledge God’s blessings?” I asked.

“Simple,” the angel answered. “Just say, “Thank you, Lord.”

“What blessings should they acknowledge?” I asked.

Count your blessings which Amma Bhagavan Bless on us.
