Shivsena, being a pro-Hindu organization, Balasaheb could never compromise with the matters which tried to spread anti-Hindu sentiments among people. The Hindu minds were enthralled to see Balasaheb's strong leadership coming forward and raising their voice against acts of injustice hurting Hindu sentiments. The Hinduhruday Samrat made remarkable changes in Maharashtra politics. Some of his controversial decisions changed the political scenario of the country. On Muslims, he said, "They are spreading like cancer and should be operated on like cancer."

On Islamic terrorism, in 2008, he said, "A Hindu fidayeen band is necessary to combat Muslim fundamentalism." Shivsena’s mouthpiece Saamana suggested that Hindus should form suicide bomb squads like Islamic militants. Where there is fire, a Shiv Sainik should act as a firefighter but where there is Ravan, the tail of Maruti should be inflamed.

Shivsena believes that whoever lives in India must follow the culture, traditions, and laws of this country. He must bear in mind that this country has a Hindu majority and should understand and confirm that if he/she is not ready to comply with this then he has no right to live in this country.

Chhatrapati Shivaji fought for the 'Swarajya'. It is our duty to follow in his footsteps. SWARAJYA SHOULD BE TRANSFORMED INTO 'SURAJYA'. We must not live in history but we should create history. A person who will go with us, hand-in-hand, for the welfare of the country will be welcomed with open hands and hearts but the one who opposes will be dealt with an iron hand.
