    Hi iQOO Users,

I hope you all are doing great.

The Lingaraj Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the city of Bhubaneswar in the eastern state of Odisha (formerly known as Orissa) in India. The temple is considered to be one of the oldest and largest temples of the city and is one of the major tourist attractions in the state.

    History:

The Lingaraj Temple is believed to have been built in the 11th century by King Jajati Keshari, and it has undergone several renovations and additions over the years. The temple complex is spread over a vast area and comprises several smaller shrines and pavilions. The main shrine of the temple is a 180-feet high spire, which is adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures.

Architecture: The Lingaraj Temple is an excellent example of the Kalinga style of architecture, which was prevalent in Odisha during the medieval period. The temple is constructed using red sandstone and has an impressive entrance gate known as the "Lions Gate," which is decorated with carvings of lions and elephants. The temple's sanctum sanctorum has a Lingam, which is said to be a self-manifested form of Lord Shiva.

    How to reach:

    CC: AAI Airport

The Lingaraj Temple is located in the heart of Bhubaneswar city and is easily accessible by road, rail, and air. The nearest airport is the Biju Patnaik International Airport, which is located about 6 km away from the temple.

The nearest railway station is the Bhubaneswar Railway Station, which is well-connected to major cities in India.

Visitors can also reach the temple by local buses, taxis, or auto-rickshaws.

    Weather Seasons:

The best time to visit the Lingaraj Temple is during the winter season (November to February) when the weather is cool and pleasant. The summer months (March to June) can be quite hot and humid, while the monsoon season (July to September) can bring heavy rainfall and make the roads and surroundings quite slippery.

    In Conclusion:

The Lingaraj Temple is an impressive example of Hindu architecture and a must-visit destination for anyone visiting the state of Odisha. Visitors are advised to dress modestly and respect the customs and traditions of the temple while visiting.

    Thanks
