One of the best players in the subcontinent to play the sport, Javed Miandad, has opened up about his familial ties with Dawood Ibrahim.
Javed Miandad said he is proud to share a bond with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Javed Miandad’s son is married to Dawood Ibrahim’s daughter, Maharukh, and therefore the two families are relatives of each other and share a close bond.
Speaking to a journalist in Pakistan, Javed Miandad revealed that he shared a close relationship with Dawood Ibrahim and feels very honored to marry his son with Dawood Ibrahim’s daughter.
Javed Miandad said, “I have known him for a long time, from Dubai. It is an honor for me that his daughter married my son. My daughter-in-law is very well-educated; she studied at a convent school and went to a renowned university.”
Dawood Ibrahim is one of the most wanted criminals in India. He was the mastermind behind the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast, which took the lives of more than 250 people.
Several reports have claimed that Dawood Ibrahim resides in Karachi, Pakistan. On the other hand, Pakistan has denied any such claims.
Javed Miandad stated that “understanding the real Dawood Ibrahim is not easy. The way people think about the family, they are not like that.”

Javed Miandad also spoke about the good and bad qualities of former Pakistan’s captain and prime minister, Imran Khan.
Speaking about the same, Javed Miandad said, “Imran Khan’s bad habit that I can identify is that he didn’t listen to anyone and forced what he believed was right onto others. He just did not agree that someone else could be right too. Imran Khan’s good quality was that he helped others.”
