Now, in a recent interview with Zoom, Neha revealed that her wedding with Angad was unconventional and did not follow a linear timeline. She disclosed that they were already expecting a child before they decided to get married.
Neha shared that when they broke the news of her pregnancy to her parents, their initial reaction was accepting, but they also set a deadline of 72 hours for them to get married. Neha mentioned that she was given a timeframe of two and a half days to return to Mumbai and complete the wedding formalities.
"'But you have 72 hours before we turn this around.' I was given two and a half days to then go back to Bombay and get married," she said.
Following her wedding, Dhupia became the target of harsh trolling by a certain group of internet users due to her pregnancy before marriage. Now, nearly five years later, the actress has decided to speak out about her impromptu wedding and the subsequent trolling she faced after announcing her pregnancy.
In her conversation with the news portal, Neha also expressed gratitude for the immense love and support she received from her family and loved ones. Regarding the trolling she faced after announcing her pregnancy in August 2018, the actress responded by stating that her choices do not harm anyone. "So then there's no harm in doing what you want, what you please and look at where it got us," she said.
On May 10 of this year, the couple commemorated their fifth wedding anniversary. They are now blessed with two children, Mehr and Guriq. Neha was last seen in the 2022 film titled A Thursday, where she portrayed the role of a pregnant police officer.
