In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Shahid had shared his thoughts on the possibility of taking on a similar project in the future. "Most of the film one does in this genre are bad, so one needs to pick up a decent script. In fact, Imtiaz (Ali, director) and I were also chatting to find something in this space again. I want to do something fun and exciting."
He has an upcoming project lined up, an untitled film by Maddock Studios alongside Kriti Sanon. The shooting for the second season of Farzi is also scheduled to commence later this year.
