Guruvayur: Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, visited the Sree Krishna temple in Guruvayur on Saturday at 4.45 am. The veteran RSS leader had darshan till 5.15 am and presented offerings to the deity.
After receiving ‘prasadam’ (sacred food) from the priest Othikkan Kakkad Pranav Namboothiri, Mohan Bhagwat visited the shrines of other deities in the temple. He observed the holy sculptures carved on the premises and enquired about the peculiarities of the ‘Koothambalam’ (temple theatre) here.
Mohan Bhagwat was accompanied by 21 persons, including RSS leaders PR Mukunda, Jagadish Prasad, S Sethumadhavan, R Vanniyarajan, S Rajendran, A Senthilkumar and PN Eeswaran. High-level security and other preparations were ensured during the visit of Dr. Mohan Bhagwat.
