Feast of St Sebastian at Arthunkal Church is celebrated from 10th January to 27th January, 20th January being the main day of the feast. The important festival days are from 18th to 20th of January and Octave which is on the 27th of January.
January 18th
5.00 am - Nadathurakkal
Holy Mass at 5.30 am, 7.30 am, 10.30 am, 6 pm, 8 pm, 9.30 pm.
Noon, 12 pm - Holy Adoration.
5 pm - Japamala, Novena, littany
19th January

Description:Feast of St Sebastian is celebrated at St Andrews Basilica at Arthunkal, a beautiful coastal area, about 7 Km from Cherthala in Alappuzha district. It is also called Arthunkal Makaram thirunnal.
The 2019 Arthunkal Perunal is the 373 annual Perunnal at this basilica church. On the main festival day which is January 20th, a grand procession carrying the statue of St Sebastian is taken to the seashore and back.
