Ponmudi this month – August 2021: Chilled-out weather, Drizzles, Foggy and Wild.

Ponmudi – the exuberant, the pride hill station of Trivandrum, was nothing less than spectacular when we visited it post the Onam 2021 weekend holidays. The hill station was buzzling with tourists, arriving in bikes, cars, vans, travelers – you name it. Thanks to the climate shift with rains, the most sought after hill station of Trivandrum is a paradise now. Various hues of greens all overs, flowers blossomed, windy weather, low white light, slight drizzles and dense fog add to the mood.
Al Rifa Mosque in Tholicode is a great monument on the way to Ponmudi, serves as a landmark
for travelers.
A semi-fogged way enroute to the hill station.
In a wooden log portrait, view of the nearby tea estate.
Beautiful sight of the sequential mountains, flanked with fog.
This bunker is used to store logs, located right behind the children’s play area at the top station.
An eclectic moment when time just slows down, and you are rewarded for all the 22 tight corners you took safe to get on top of the hill.

If you decide to stay back for the night, KTDC Ponmudi is the default choice. On a fine, sunny day, travelers also have the liberty to trek from Meenmutty waterfalls basecamp to Ponmudi hills. For further info, visit Kerala Tourism official website.
