The military budget of the India is the portion of the overall budget of Country that is allocated for the funding of the Indian armed forces. This military budget finance include employee salaries and training costs, the maintenance of equipment and facilities, support of new or ongoing operations, and development and procurement of new weapons, equipment, and vehicles.The eight per cent growth in the defence budget for 2015-16 is put forward.Defence is also likely to be impacted by the roadmap suggested for it by the 14th Finance Commission. It is to be noted, however, that unlike the 13th Finance Commission which had given a roadmap covering both revenue and capital expenditure, the 14th Finance Commission has limited its projection to defence revenue expenditure only. As per the roadmap, revenue expenditure is projected to grow by 13.5 per cent per year till 2019-20.

China’s official defence budget last year was USD 136.3 billion while that of India was USD 38.2 billion, the Pentagon said today in its annual report to the Congress based on its annual assessment of military and security developments involving the giant Asian country.

Comparatively,China has significantly increased its defence budget over the past several decades and  has reached a position to pose threat to the American national security interest. While Pakistan budget stands at 780 billion rupees—approximately $7.7 billion—for Pakistan’s “Defense Affairs and Services,” marking an 11 percent increase over last year’s spending. The increase is according with Pakistan’s year-on-year defense budget increasesof 3.5% its GDP.
