The project is the comparative analysis of file traversal, graph creation and query processing on distributed file system using Hadoop and MPI frameworks. It included the parallel file traversal of distributed file system, parallel term counting of each file present in a file system, distributed graph creation to describe relation between each file, query processing on distributed graph. The aim was to compare the performance of query processing on both frameworks.

The home surveillance system is a security system using PIR sensor built on raspberry pi. The system senses the signal generated by PIR sensor detecting the presence of any human not at thermal equilibrium with the surrounding environment. Detecting the presence of any unauthorized person, it sends the sensor signals to the embedded system and the program starts the camera and records the video of the intruder activity.
