Well, his statement has just validated Shahid's conversation about the sequel with Siddharth Kanan. When Jab We Met was re-released in theatres this year, Shahid told Siddharth that if the quality of the script was good and if it demanded a sequel, then only he would do it. The actor added that if, after reading the script, he feels that the script is better than the first or is on par with the original, only then would he go ahead with it. He added that he doesn't want to bank on the brand value of the original film and deliver a subpar film to the audience.
