        Large, elongated, solid and heavy golden-brown shell; spire of moderate length; apex usually eroded; columella smooth posteriorly; sutures constricted; thick, blunt nodules on upper whorls and shoulders of body; fine brown spiral lines on surface; pale aperture with strong internal ridges; dentate upper lip with seven pairs of teeth; siphonal canal extended and short; and weak fasciole.
