Bachchan family’s connection with Rituparno Ghosh

Rituparno Ghosh directed megastar Amitabh Bachchan in his first English language film The Last Lear while his wife Jaya Bachchan has worked with Rituparno Ghosh in yet-to-be-released film Sunglass.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also part of Ghosh’s opulent drama Chokher Bali and poignant love story Raincoat,alongside Ajay Devgn,whereas her husband Abhishek forayed into Bengali films with the late director’s 2005 film Antarmahal.

Condoling the death of the stellar filmmaker,Abhishek said,”Absolutely shocked with the news of the passing of Ritu da. A dear friend and a great director and a wonderful,wonderful human. RIP Rituda.

“Had the honour of working with him in Antarmahal. Such a fine director. Will really miss his exuberance and zest for the movies and life,” Abhishek tweeted.
