Shilpa Shetty pens emotional note after mother’s surgery: ‘Seeing a parent undergo surgery is never easy’

Uploading a picture of her mother with the doctor, Shilpa wrote in the post: ‘Seeing a parent undergo a surgery is never easy for any child. But, if there’s anything I want to emulate from my mom it’s her guts and her fighting spirit The last few days have been a roller coaster.But, my hero and my hero’s hero saved the day! Thankyou so much, Dr Rajeev Bhagwat for taking such good care of Ma before, during, and after her surgery.”

She also thanked the medical staff as she wrote, “A HUGE thank you with a grateful heart, to the doctors and the staff at Nanavati for their relentless support & care.Please do keep Ma in your prayers till she makes a full recovery, my dearest #InstaFam Prayers work miracles.”

Shilpa’s sister, actor Shamita Shetty commented on the post, “Our momie is the strongest love ya.” The actor’s post invited many well wishers from the film industry in the comment section. Actor Dia Mirza commented, “May she heal well. Love and good energy coming her way”. Shilpa herself underwent a tough time last year when she fractured her leg while shooting for Rohit Shetty’s web series Indian Police Force. However, during that time, the actor continued to give fitness goals to all her followers. She would often post videos of doing yoga asanas and exercises which were safe and could be done at home. In one of her several posts, the actor had written in the caption, “Keep moving. No matter what. That’s the policy I’m living by, especially these past couple of weeks.”
