Lovely church and a must see if you are walking by. I like their focus on inclusion of all people. One neat little thing is the canonization of various sainted people of color (see attached pix).

This church is welcoming, as you enter there are people to welcome you with smiles and give you bulletin. The priests have interesting sermons, the choir is excellent that sometimes I feel like Im watching a show. At the end of the mass you can drop bulletin in a bin before exit and the priest outside to greet you. I feel this parish is well organized and established their community very well. I think they should just improve on person handling calls because Ive been wanting to volunteer and wanted to know if they have a blessed sacrament off mass hours.

Worked on a TV Show there amidst beautiful architecture - Medici family would be proud!

I used to travel here for mass because it's always been gay friendly but since discovering St Jean Baptiste on Lexington and 76th, I just stay uptown. St Jean Baptiste is the same inclusive vibe and maybe even has a bigger LGBT congregation which is nice. Still love Xavier tho!! Very beautiful church.

Amazing church service for open minded people. I came here just to keep my mother company. I don't usually go to church because as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and often don't feel like I am welcome in catholic communities. This was not the case here. The speech was super interesting, inclusive and welcoming. The vibe was warm and positive. Everybody seemed happy to be there.
I very much recommend this place, especially for the believers that feel like they don't belong anywhere. You will fee welcomed here. This church honestly is restoring my faith in the catholic community.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Theresa C.Altadena, CA25Aug 22, 2021
I'm in Manhattan to send my daughter off to college (Parsons). I attended Mass here last night and experienced a welcoming and authentic faith community proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to all and intentionally living out its Jesuit mission, with a big emphasis on the social teaching of the Church. Fr. Tom Feely's homily was very compelling, and all the lay ministers seemed intentional in their service. The bulletin announcements show activities of an active vibrant parish. I hope that my daughter will choose to attend Mass here while getting involved with college campus ministry through NYU.

I love this church. When I came in, I felt welcomed. Everyone was all smiles and people were interacting with one another. Before mass starts, you get up and introduce yourself and say hi to people around you.
The service was nice. They sing almost every response and the cantor had a great voice. The homily was ok. It wasn't inspiring or enlightening but this is my first time so I will have to go a couple more times to see how it is. When you do the Lord's Prayer, a lot of people in the congregation actually reach out across the aisle to hold hands. It was strange for me because I had never done that but it was nice to feel the togetherness everyone had in sharing a ubiquitous prayer.
Would definitely go here again and everyone is so nice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Yves X.New York, NY46503Jul 9, 2017
Finally a church that is open during the daytime. They also seem to practice what they preach in sharp contrast to the hypocritical stance of many Bible quoting devils that roam our workspaces and communities.

after lunch, I walked down the street... just curious... strange church name...
father was greeting to people and made me to attend the mass...
high ceiling, old fashion structure... music from the heaven... it's God's house..
prayed for my friend who passed away on Easter..
will remember his lips as long as I can...Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0
