Description:
D1 XV; D2 20+9; P1 18; P2 I/5; A 22+7. Color of sides silvery white with several longitudinal rows of round dark brownish spots. First dorsal fin membrane black white posteriorly, with the distal margin black; pectoral, second dorsal and caudal fins dark brown pelvic and anal fins silvery white. Body elongate and strongly compressed. Head pointed. Adipose eyelid present. Snout pointed. Teeth moderately compressed. Two dorsal fin, 2nd have 8-10 finlets. Anterior part of 2nd dorsal fins followed by 7-9 finlets. Lateral line branches anteriorly. Scale small, cycloid.
