Description:
The back end of the preopercle has a rounded and convex shape.Tip of the maxilla is pointed and extends backward to or slightly beyond, the posterior border of the preopercle. The tips of the pelvic fins extend beyond the origin of the dorsal fin. There are 23–28 lower gill rakers. In terms of color, the body is a light, transparent, fleshy brown, featuring a silvery band along the flanks. Two pigmented areas are present behind the head on the back and there is a double pigmented line in front of the origin of the dorsal fin.
