Myrmecodia Beccarii "Ant Plant"

The Myrmecodia Beccarii "Ant Plant" is a very rare caudiciform plant native to Australia and can be found in the mangroves, lowland forests near Cairns and northern Cape York where it grows on the trees. This super interesting plant makes a tunnel system within itself.  This is the reason it is called an "Ant Plant" because in nature, ants make homes out of these plants and supply the plant with nutrients from their waste.  NO, they will not infest your home or plant.

Use a gritty soil amendment with your organic cactus mix. 

These plants like humidity.  Water when soil appears dry, may still be damp to the touch.
