Brief Info:
Kalavantin Durg is a 2,250 ft (686 m) high summit located in the Western Ghats, near the Prabalgad fort in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is also known as Kelve Teen, Kalavantinicha Sulka, or Kalavantin Pinnacle; alternative transliterations include Kalawantin, Kalavati, and Kalavanti. It is a popular trekking destination.
Once you reach the summit after the ‘Climb to Heaven’, as the trek is called you will be treated to breath-taking views of surrounding Sahyadri mountain ranges enveloped in misty greenery and cool crisp air.
Itinerary:
Day 01:( 17 July 2022 )
5.06 am- Board into Train for panvel from CSMT – Panvel
6.27 am: Reach Panvel station n take a transport till thakurwadi ( base village of Kalavantin ), Start the trek enroute have breakfast n freshen up ,restart again for the top.
12.30am: Reaching the highest point ,after photos start descending towards the cave ( cave exploring) n get down to the have lunch
4.00 pm: Post lunch Start descending the fortress n get back into the train . ( kindly spare us if time management doesn’t work )

🔺 Things to carry:
• ID proof
• Face Mask (must)
• Lunch for a day
• Hand Sanitizer (must)
• Min. 3 liters water (must)
• Ready to eat food (biscuits, plum cake, chips etc.)
• Rainywear (optional)
• Good trekking shoes preferably Action
• Extra pair of clothes (Compulsory)
• Energy drink (ex. Glucon D)
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. (Please do not bring suitcases or sling bags/ jholas)
• Personal basic medical kit (Containing an antiseptic, few bandages, personal medications if any, Antibiotics for stomach infection)
• Camera (optional)
• Please try to wear track pants and a full sleeve t-shirt
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments

• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited at the time of trekking and camping
• No plastic littering
• Wear full sleeves, full tracksuit to avoid mosquito bite or leeches
• No jeans/ skirts/ skin tight clothes
• Proper footwear/ shoes are essential for trekking
• Conserve and preserve our heritage
• No deo / perfume. After trek it’s OK
