Metapenaeopsis goodei (Smith, 1885)
This shrimp is mainly found on soft bottoms, such as sand and mud flats in the warm tropical waters of the Caribbean at a depth of 20 to 300 meters. To protect itself from predators, the shrimp partially hides in the surface sand and eats almost everything it can catch.
