Crowd Sports launches rugby podcast with Ben Youngs and Dan Cole

For the Love of Rugby is a new podcast hosted by England’s most capped men’s player Ben Youngs and current England international Dan Cole.

Ben and Dan have spent 20 years together at Leicester Tigers, won a Grand Slam with England and toured with the British & Irish Lions.

In their brand-new podcast produced by Crowd Sports, the pair will give their ultimate guide to the Six Nations, a behind-the-scenes tour of Twickenham, and reveal what really happens inside England camp.

There will be international guests, tales and tours gone by… and somehow Joe Marler has wormed his way in too!

No man has played for England more than Ben Youngs. He’s also a scrumhalf, so has spent most of his 127 games chatting to team-mates, opposition and referees.

His mate Dan Cole also has over 100 caps and is still in the England squad. He has cult hero status thanks to his no-nonsense approach to most of life’s events.

Ben Youngs said: “We jumped at the chance to work with Crowd. This is a great opportunity for me and Dan to discuss our experiences – from club rugby to world cups as well as the everyday life of rugby. Whether aspiring coaches listen looking for insight or fans listen hoping to hear some untold stories, we’re looking forward to getting started.”

Dan Cole added: “Lots of people ask for behind the scenes content and this is a great platform to show people what goes on behind the curtain of international rugby and beyond. It’s been a really enjoyable project. Crowd are brilliant to work with and know their stuff.”

Ben and Dan are the latest big names to join Crowd Sports, joining fellow rugby international Joe Marler, Tour de France and Olympic champion Geraint Thomas, former world champion boxer George Groves and pro-golfer Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston.

Head of Crowd Sports, Rob Roberts-Facey, said: “We love working with world class names like Ben and Dan. We share their high standards and work ethic and we’re excited about growing the show together and connecting with listeners.”

“At Crowd we focus on building shows in partnership with these big names. We know that they want ownership of content which we offer, and we have proven that we can offer an enjoyable and financially lucrative way to move a career onto its next stage.”

For the Love of Rugby launches on Thursday 25 January on all major podcast platforms.
