In a powerful demonstration of solidarity and support for Maratha reservation demands, several Maratha organizations, including the Sakal Maratha Samaj and Maratha Kranti Morcha, have announced a protest scheduled to commence at Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk from Tuesday. As a consequence, the entry of political leaders into this area has been prohibited.
Activist Manoj Jarange Patil has reignited his hunger strike in Jalna District, championing the Maratha community’s demands. In a display of solidarity, the Sakal Maratha Samaj and Maratha Kranti Morcha have organized a protest, encouraging Maratha community members from various villages to participate. They are called upon to join this movement by congregating around the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in their respective villages.
In support of the Maratha community, several villages have imposed bans on the entry of political leaders, underscoring the depth of sentiment surrounding the reservation issue.
