Review on JLPT N1 perfect score

I studied in Japan for two years when I tested JLPT N1. And, I was confident in listening and reading. So, I just studied Japanese vocabulary for two days. Then, I went to take the test.

As a N1, the vocabulary was really difficult. As you know, I took a university class in Japan about two years, but there were many words that I had never heard or seen. Luckily, I got a perfect score, but I felt the limit of my Japanese vocabulary.

Listening was difficult, too! Usually, when I talk to a Japanese person, we check the same thing over and over again, However, this is not the case in JLPT N1. All of the conversation in listening ended without check or confirmation. So, it was hard to adapt it and solve the problems. I just believed my luck in some problem.

Reading was very easy. It was easier than the books I used to read in the Japanese university.

Tips on JLPT N1 Test

1. Apply for the JLPT in advance.
-> I think this is the most basic thing. The application deadline of JLPT is very early. So, check the application deadline and apply before it.

2. Study vocabulary hard.
-> The vocabulary level of the JLPT N1 is very high. And vocabulary effect not only the Language Knowledge but also Reading. Understandably, you cannot solve the problem in Reading if there is the vocabulary you don't know although the time for the Reading is very ample.

3. The problem that made of vocabularies that are rarely use is rare. So, you can give up very difficult words.
-> Vocabulary questions were very difficult. But, I was able to solve them because I knew two to three words among the four choices. Difficult problems often consisted of two easy words, one difficult but understandable word and one completely unknown word. So if you know 'difficult but understandable word', you can solve that problem! So, let's study the vocabulary at that level. There are many words that even the Japanese may not know. It is much better to focus on 'difficult but understandable word' that to be greedy for such words.

4. Listening! Focus at the end/
-> In many case, the last line is answer. So, focus it.
