The first company on the list is the Mitsubishi Motors. The company came to Indian in 1998 and collaborated with Hindustan Motors.

Japanese based Daewoo entered the Indian market by the end of 1990s. The Daewoo Matiz was the first car from the Dadwoo.

By the end of 1999, the whole Daewoo Group ran into financial trouble and was forced into selling its automotive division, following the acquisition of its assets by General Motors. GM pulled the plug on Daewoo's presence in India in 2002. The Matiz made a comeback as Chevrolet Spark.

Next company on the list is the Chevrolet. The company ceased the sale of Chevrolet cars in the country from 31st December 2017. Since the exit, Chevrolet has maintained a network of authorised service centres with over 170 customer touchpoint pan-India.

In India the company sold some brilliant cars like Chevrolet Cruze sedan. However, as time went by, competition grew, and eventually led to this brand leaving the country due to low sales.
