Sahitya Akademi Award winner Joy Goswami felicitated on 60th birth anniversary

Joy Goswami was felicitated by veteran poet Shankha Ghosh at a recent ceremony to celebrate his 60th birth anniversary.
The event also saw Debshankar Halder, Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta and Natasa Dasgupta wow the crowd by performing live to Obelay Jodi — a compilation of Rabindrasangeet like Bondhu raho raho sathe, Amar shokol niye boshe aachi, Jedin shokol mukul gelo jhode and Joy Goswami’s poems. When we spoke to Swagatalakshmi after the event, she said, “Joyda, according to me, is one of the most eminent poets of our times.I love reading his poems and essays. He too is very affectionate towards me and have always appreciated my music. Plus, he is a gem of a person. Onar shonge ekbar kotha bola manei, ekta gota class kore fela.”
