Hansika Motwani's father Pradeep Motwani left the family when she was very young.
She was single-handedly brought up by her mother Mona Motwani.
Born in a Sindhi family, Hansika grew up in Mumbai.
She started off as a child actor in the hit TV show 'Shakalaka Boom Boom'.
Later, she starred in Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta’s ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and never looked back.
While her official Bollywood debut was ‘Aap Kaa Surroor’ in 2007, she also forayed into Tollywood in the same year with her first film ‘Desamuduru’.
Hansika’s favourite food is rajma chawal.
She is a follower of the Buddha, and she loves to do meditation daily.
The actress is often compared with the 90s leading actress Khusbu, and fondly called Little Khushbu by fans.
