On his 60
th birthday recently, veteran actor-filmmaker
Ravichandran announced three new films, one of which is the answer to a query fans had for long – when would he do movie with his two sons,
Manuranjan and
Vikram? The
Crazy Star and his boys had always fielded the question with the line that they would work together when the right script comes along. Well, it appears it has finally worked out.
Titled
Bad Boys, with the tagline 3 in 1, the film will have Ravichandran sharing screen space with Manuranjan and Vikram.
Speaking to us, Vikram, for whom this will be the second project with his father, says, “We had shot around 20% of the movie before the lockdown. The output has come out really well, it was exciting to shoot with Manuranjan and my dad. I had acted in my dad’s
Crazy Star, but this is our first collaboration since I turned hero. We are not allowed to divulge much details about the subject, as my dad is handling everything.”
How is it working with his father, we wonder? “We are father and son only when we are at home. We are thorough professionals when we are shooting and my father is a master in extracting the best out of everyone on the set. It was a great experience to shoot with him, as he is this treasure trove of information and it inspires me to learn different facets of filmmaking from him. We don’t know when will resume shooting and I can’t wait to get back to the set and work on the film that fans have been awaiting for long,” he signs off.
