The entertainment industry has brought some of the biggest celebrities together on the screen but there are some real-life friends in the Marathi industry who swear by their friendship even behind the camera from long years.
Marathi cinema's popular actor-driector Sachin Pilgaonkar, Laxmikant Berde and veteran Marathi actor Ashok Saraf who have been close friends for years.
Today, on the occasion of Friendship Day, popular Marathi actor Sachin Pilgaonkar connected with ETimes exclusively to share tales of their friendship and reveal some unknown facts about each other.

Sachin Pilgoankar said "I am blessed to have such great friends. Yes, we miss Laxmikant Berde presnce in our life. If there is any special occasion we connect and cherish our memorie. When it comes to Ashok Saraf, I started my career with Ashok Saraf as a director"
While recalling his friendship with Laxmikant Berde, Sachin said "Laxmikant Berde was the only actor who was part of both Hindi and Marathi film. I had met Laxmikant sveral times before the release of our comedy film, 'Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi'. But we were not very close friends. We beacme close friends after our film 'Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi'. The film also starred Ashok Saraf, Siddharth Ray, Ashwini Bhave in key roles. Laxmikant played a character of Parvati in the film"
"I had this in-security for actors about their division in the film. I think this in-security will defenately all actors must have come-across. Later on, when the film was ready to go for sensor and it was also kept for my entire star-cast. Laxmikant had also come with us to watch the film. I still remember his gester after watching the film. He didn't utter single word. I was little upset, why he didn't say anything about the film. Probably, he was not happy with the film, I had no clue. So, when I met him, his eyes were filled with tears. Before, I could he fell on my feet. He said, thank you very much. I was not expecting that you would do this to me. And that was the begining of my frienship with Laxmikant Berde" Sachin added.
Elaborating more on the same, he added, "Even today, I feel that role which Laxmikant character in 'Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi' was just amazing. He perfomed it so well that people will never forget his charcater. So yes, my frienship with Ashok Saraf and Laxmikant Berede is very special"
