“I did write a column about how to raise our sons the right way and not just focus on raising our daughters,” says Twinkle Khanna.
Twinkle Khanna said in an interview, “If you ask me, just the way you have to train and get a licence to drive after passing a test, being a parent should also require some prior training. All of us are just winging it and hoping for the best at this point.”
Twinkle, being a published author, is an ardent bibliophile. She reads to her daughter, Nitara often which in turn, inculcates the knack for reading in children from a tender age.
A mother needs to keep an eye on her child’s mind as much as she does on her homework. She must follow the tendrils of her thoughts, and each time she sees something askew, she has to nudge it back in place and she needs to do this every single day.
“I may be far from perfect and I live with that guilt like most other members that belong to this tribe, but if I can do this much, then that’s good enough and perhaps good enough is as marvellous as we all need to be,” says Khanna.
Twinkle lets her children have all the fun at home. She posted a photo sporting red cheeks, bushy black brows and splattered lipstick applied to her by her daughter Nitara. Her makeover artist was also seen posing confidently in the photo.
