This year sees more new words in the Oxford Dictionary
The latest words to make it to the Oxford English Dictionary are cyberbullying and sexting. And with so many people tweeting, retweet is also common parlance.
Jeggings made a splash in the world of fashion and they are also making a fashionable entrance into the dictionary. And so is the mankini – the male equivalent of a woman’s bikini!
If vegan was discovered a few years ago, this year is the year of ‘slow food’.
Slow food is essentially food that is prepared with the local traditions. The dictionary also includes other words like cyberbullying, denialist and alternative vote. But what’s an alternative vote?
