The monuments

Taj Mahal is the most prominent monument of India that was built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in the honour of his wife Mumtaz. It is globally known as the symbol of love, and attracts a huge number of tourists every year.

The Agra Fort was the residence of Mughal Emperors until 1638, and was built around 1565-1573. It commands a massive area of land, and was later occupied by the Marathas before the British took over.

Both the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
