Dakshin ke Badrinath

Dakshin Badrinath or Dakshin ke Badrinath is a replica of the main Badrinath temple in Uttarakhand. It is located in Bandamailaram village near Medchal around 40 kms from Hyderabad and hence also called Medchal Badrinath temple. It was built by the Uttarakhand Kalyankari Sanstha, an NGO formed by people from Uttarakhand residing in Hyderabad, in around 1550 Square yards. The main temple has idols of the Gods Ganesh, Kuber, Udhav, Badrinath, Lakshmi, Nar-Narayana, Garuda and Narada. There are also smaller temples of Mahalakshmi, Salasar Hanuman, Ananda Bhairava and Ganesh Kedareswara. There are steps that lead to the main temple and the other smaller temples. While the main deities here, Badrinarayan and Nar Narayan are carved out of Black stone, the other deities are made of White marble and all are replicas of the original idols.
