A fight started on the front steps of the Michigan State Capitol building after a man carrying a Barbie doll from a noose claimed it was Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Investigators said the man brought an ax or hatchet of some sort to the protest with the Barbie attached to an American Flag. The ax was confiscated by Michigan State Police.

In a tweet Thursday morning, Michigan State Police said they are investigating the two parties involved.

MSP said there were no injuries and no arrests were made.

Governor Whitmer's stay-at-home order is set to expire on May 28.
