On July 8, 1947, Cyril Radcliffe arrived in India for the first time. He had five weeks and four judges to settle the boundary between the newly independent India and a newborn state of Pakistan. About the Author

Salik Shah (salikshah.com) is a writer, editor and film director based in New Delhi. He is the founding editor of Mithila Review, a quarterly journal of international science fiction and fantasy. His poetry, fiction and nonfiction has appeared in literary and science publications including Asimov's Science Fiction, Strange Horizons, Open Democracy, Juggernaut, and Locus Magazine. A former copyeditor with an American national daily, he is the author of the picture book Story of India's Partition: The Making of India and Pakistan, and Khas Pidgin, a bilingual collection of speculative poetry.
