The three wheeler industry has been going through a static patch in design front following the five decade old Piaggio designs. They are hence misplaced among the fast evolving four and two wheelers on the road. The brief thus looked at contemporary styling of three wheelers in lieu with the latest personal vehicles on the road – based on the latest aesthetic sense in the market, manufacturing technology capabilities and user centric design.
The product has stressed on a very user centric design. Increased driver headspace,minimal B pillar for an increased passenger legspace and headspace, cleaner and egress friendly counter along with roof attached meter for better visibility by driver and passenger are the highlights on this front. Custom roof and three quarter glass gives way to more than one type of configuration for the customers. The tail lamp cluster design signifies the function of side indicators with brake light standing out. An additional top indicator facilitates judgment of heavy motor vehicles trailing the three wheeler. The RE Next thus hopes to be a valuable upgrade version of the existing three decade old design in coming couple of years as an aesthetically stylized competitor in par with current generation of personal vehicles also having addressed some of key usability
issues.

The final design was thus ruled by changing trend of aesthetic appeal among new age vehicles, nature of manufacture and technology imparted along with design conscious integration of components and user centric approach throughout.
