Known for her unconventional choice of roles, Neha Dhupia may have had an unconventional wedding with co-actor Angad Bedi of sorts. Although her wedding was held in Gurudwara following the quintessential Sikh rituals, the actress had a hush-hush and a rush-rush marriage that left many of them surprised. But when she announced her pregnancy just a couple of months after, many social media users trolled her for being pregnant out of her wedlock. On Mother’s Day, the actress opened up about what transpired during her wedding and how she reacted to all the trolling that followed.

Neha Dhupia tied the knot on May 10, 2018 with Angad Bedi. In a recent interview with Zoom, Neha opened up about the ‘helicopter’ wedding saying, "We had a nonlinear wedding. We were pregnant before we got married. So, when we went and broke the news to my parents, they were like okay, this is great. But you have 72 hours before we turn this around. Let’s get married. I was given 2 and a half days to then go back to Bombay and get married."

While the actress was quick to add that she received a lot of love and support from her family and close ones, Neha also opened up about the way she was trolled when she announced her pregnancy. The actress had taken to social media to announce her first pregnancy in August 2018, wherein she posed with a baby bump. Reacting to the way the netizens reacted when she posted the photo of their pregnancy, Neha added, "My choices are not hurting anyone so then there’s no harm in doing what you want, what you please and look at where it got us.”

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi celebrated five years of their wedding earlier this month and are happy parents to two children, Mehr and Guriq.
