For Tadka:

  • Ghee: 1 ½ tbsp
  • Jeera: 1 tsp
  • Hing: ½ tsp
  • Garlic, chopped: 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder: 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Pressure cook soaked dal, water, salt, turmeric powder, oil, green chilli, and garlic.
  2. In a pan, heat ghee, add jeera and hing.
  3. Add chopped garlic, sauté, then add red chilli powder.
  4. Pour over cooked dal, cook for 2-3 minutes.

  • Wheat flour: 2 bowls
  • Salt: ½ tsp
  • Water: 3 bowls

Method:

  4. Mix, cook till done.
