The Acropolis is one tourist-filled site in Athens you can’t miss. Being able to see the Parthenon up close and personal is a moment you will never forget, and the views atop the hill are the best in the city. Get there early to avoid the crowds (or go at night with a date and a bottle of wine), and don’t forget to wear sturdy shoes for the climb up. After you climb down, snack on some koulouri (a crunchy bread ring coated with sesame seeds) from the many street food carts in Athens.
