For cherry blossoms, most would travel all the way to Japan for the bright pink, tree-lined streets, unaware that they can treat their eyes to the pleasing colour far closer home. Come November, cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Shillong. The pretty pink dances over the surface of Ward’s Lake, lines walking paths in parks and peeks through bright green trees as you enjoy hill views after a tiring trek.
It’s the perfect time to be outdoors in the hill station. The pleasant weather allows plenty of opportunities to amble along the hills and stop, stare and marvel at the natural beauty that surrounds you.
