The black rose, Aeonium arboreum var. atropurpureum f. nigrum cv. 'Zwartkop', is a branching succulent shrub that produces magnificent, shiny black-purple, leaf rosettes at the ends of its branches. It reacts to sunlight, and the stronger the sunlight, the blacker it becomes. In shadier conditions, the leaves take on a burgundy hue. The photos show the dynamic range the same plant can have depending on environmental conditions.

All plants are shipped without soil.

The cuttings and rooted offsets offered of different lengths are clones of the mature plant shown in the photos.
