South star Yash recently announced his next film, Toxic. The much-awaited film is a big-budget project directed by Geetu Mohandas. Now, Filmfare has exclusively learnt that Kareena Kapoor Khan will also join the film’s cast.
As per our sources, Kareena Kapoor Khan will team up with Yash for Toxic. The film will mark Kareena’s first collaboration with the KGF star. The makers of the film are yet to make an announcement. Confirmation about the update and further details about her role are awaited.
The title of the upcoming film was unveiled in an announcement video which described the film as “A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups”. The clip saw Yash in a cowboy look. The star took to his social media handle to share a motion poster with the caption, “‘What you seek is seeking you’ - Rumi. A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups #TOXIC.”
To note, Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in Jaane Jaan. Her next, The Buckingham Murders premiered at film festivals (BFI London Film Festival and the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival) ahead of its release. She is also attached to star in Singham Again alongside Ajay Devgn and The Crew with Kriti Sanon and Tabu.
Filming for Toxic will reportedly begin soon. The film is set to release on April 10, 2025.
