We don't get to say this often, but there was a fairly savage cheating penguin scandal going down on the National Geographic Channel Twitter feed yesterday.
In a now-viral National Geographic video that the channel posted on Twitter yesterday, an unassuming male penguin comes home to his nest to find a penguin homewrecker in bed with his penguin partner. A heartrending scrap ensues, only to have the cheating penguin-wife choose her new boo. Oh, the high drama of the animal kingdom.
Twitter, naturally, freaked out about the flightless birds' drama—and reacted with everything from consoling memes to utter heartbreak.
