Priyanka Chopra Jonas is introducing her daughter, Malti Marie, to the country she grew up in.
On April 6, Chopra shared a series of gorgeous photos from her family’s recent visit to the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. “MM’s first trip to India had to be completed with Shree Siddhivinayak’s blessings,” she captioned the photos, which featured the 40-year-old actor in a stunning blue traditional ensemble while holding her one-year-old baby girl in her arms.

Earlier this week Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas hit the red carpet at the inauguration of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. Describing her look as “an amalgamation of the east and the west,” Chopra wore a vibrant custom ensemble by Indian designer Amit Aggarwal that featured a sequined purple bustier attached to an upcycled vintage sari.
A few days later Chopra attended the New Dehli premiere of her new TV series Citadel, in which she stars opposite Richard Madden. Continuing the more-is-more theme of the trip, the actor wore a vibrant turquoise leopard-print Versace gown with an up-to-there slit and a bow accent ruffle on the back.
Two red-carpet events and a formative experience for her daughter? We'd call this trip a success.
