It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Amy Lynn Miller, who went straight to heaven on March 29, 2022 at the age of 31.

Amy was born in Morristown to Marybeth and Bill Watkins, joining her older siblings Megan and Rusty to complete the happiest of families. Her childhood was filled with joy, and “Amy Girl” was absolutely adored by her family from the moment they set eyes on her. She made them laugh every day with her cute sayings and living room performances, especially the “Olympic Amy” performance phase. She loved her years at Assumption School, her soccer team days on the Shooting Stars with her Dad as coach, her summers on Long Beach Island with her extended family, and the big family holiday gatherings hosted by her Mom.

Amy attended Villa Walsh Academy where she met cherished friends and made fond memories. Amy then continued her studies at Villanova University and was a die-hard Wildcats basketball fan, rarely missing a single game since. She was a part of the Honors Program, studying Marketing & Communications, and had an incredible talent for writing which she put to use by helping other students as a member of the Villanova University Writing Center staff. She graduated Cum Laude with the class of 2012.

During her time at Villanova, she developed lifelong relationships with an incredible group of roommates and friends from across the country. It was also at Villanova, specifically Maloney’s Pub, where she met and fell instantly and madly in love with her future husband Justin Miller. They were inseparable throughout their senior year and every day thereafter.

After graduation, they returned home to NJ and moved to Montclair where their time together was filled with concerts, travel, restaurants, and laughter. Amy loved to host friends and family for any and every occasion, especially their annual Christmas party when she would collect toys to donate each year. She took great joy in giving thoughtful and personalized gifts to those she loved. She was constantly thinking of others and kept running lists of meaningful gift ideas that she knew would make each person smile.

In the summer of 2016, Justin surprised Amy by sneaking an engagement ring along with him on their trip to Europe, where he proposed in Prague. On a beautiful day in August of 2017, Amy and Justin were married in the most incredible wedding celebration. Whenever anyone mentioned how much fun they had at the wedding, as they very often did, it brought Amy such great joy. Amy and Justin had the trip of a lifetime on their honeymoon to Hawaii, a destination which always held a very special place in Amy’s heart.

In 2018, Amy and Justin moved to their home in Morristown, where they could be close to both of their families and the friends with whom they grew up. On Amy’s 30th birthday, one of her lifelong goals was fulfilled when they brought home a miniature dachshund puppy named Webster. She would always say that she waited 30 years for him, and he was absolutely adored.

The best day of Amy’s life was June 27, 2021 when her beautiful daughter Olivia Jeanne was born. Amy was an absolutely incredible mother to Olivia, and everything she did from that day on revolved completely around her. The way they smiled at each other was truly different than with any other people. It did not matter what time of day or night, they were always so happy to see each other. Olivia and Justin were her entire world, and there are no words to express the depths of their love.

Amy gave 100% to everything she did, no matter how large or small. She was passionate, patient, organized, and driven to make a meaningful mark both personally and professionally. She was a dedicated member of the Savanna family where she worked for 10 years, starting at an entry level role when the company was small and proudly growing to become Vice President of Investor Relations. Her team has called her their heart and soul, and she was so admired, respected, and beloved by so many with whom she worked.

Amy was effortlessly confident and professional but at the same time incredibly funny, light-hearted, and creative. A side of her which some people may not have even known was that she was always singing, dancing, and making up songs for Olivia and even Webster. Amy was deeply and endlessly dedicated to her family and everyone she loved. She will be deeply missed and will be held in our hearts forever.

Amy was the devoted wife of Justin Miller and loving mother of their daughter Olivia Jeanne; cherished daughter of Marybeth and Bill Watkins; beloved sister of Megan Watkins and Rusty Watkins and his wife Claire; adoring aunt of Ward and Reed Watkins; cherished daughter-in-law of Patty and Lee Miller and sister-in-law of Keith Miller; granddaughter of the late Jeanne and Charles Seergy and the late Phyllis and Herbert Watkins; niece of Mike and Kate Seergy, Chuck and Eileen Seergy, and Mimi and Tony Ventresca; cousin of Will Ventresca, Lauren Ventresca, Danny Ventresca, Monica Whitmore, Meredith Sciacca, Madeline O’Shea, Chuckie Seergy, and Michael Seergy; beloved member of a large and loving extended family; and an incredible colleague and friend to all she loved.
