By a Staff Reporter

Kathmandu – Rabindra Dhant, Nepal’s MMA star, has added another victory to his perfect record. Rabindra defeated Russian fighter Torepchi Dongak in the third and final round via a Technical Knockout (TKO) in the opening fight held as a part of ONE Friday Fights. The fight was held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Rabindra also made history by winning the sixth fight of his professional fighting career. He also made history by being the first Nepali fighter to win a fight in the ONE Championship Friday Fights.

The third round got off to a solid start for Rabindra, who had also used takedowns to put Dongak under pressure in the prior two rounds. The bout was scheduled to last three rounds of five minutes each, but it was stopped by the referee less than two minutes into the third round.

Ravindra earned a chance to compete in the One Championship after defeating an Indian fighter in the Nepal Warriors Championship main event last month. His path to competing in the One Championship will open up after recording this historic victory in Thailand.

Rabindra, a permanent resident of Bajhang, travelled to India in search of employment due to his family’s financial status. He completed his SLC in Nepal, worked in India, and then began training in mixed martial arts while also learning karate.

He has been actively involved in martial arts for the past few years at Nepal’s Lock and Roll MMA, managed by Divij Piya. He made the decision to go to the One Championship after winning a few tournaments in India.
