On February 12th, 2024, Majorda witnessed a spectacular burst of colors, music, and dance as the Intruz de Majorda 2024 carnival parade, organized by the UNITED BOYS OF MAJORDA (UBM), took over the vibrant streets. This extravaganza, a celebration like no other, captivated locals and tourists alike.
The day commenced with the parade, featuring dazzling floats adorned with vibrant colors and intricate designs. The lively atmosphere resonated with infectious rhythms and laughter as the procession weaved through the streets, attracting a diverse crowd eager to witness the grand spectacle.
Adding an extra touch of prestige, Shri Alexio Sequeira graced the event as the chief guest for the float parade. The charismatic King Momo, Michael Jude Gracias, accompanied by fabulous queens Meurel Viegas and Yasmin Farria, further elevated the carnival experience.
The parade featured three mind-blowing categories, allowing villagers to showcase their talent in the inter-ward category, inviting people from across Goa to join the celebrations in the Open category, and setting the carnival mood right with jokers.
Renowned bands, including the Mark Revlon Band, Black Sapphire, and Johny b gud with Reza, took the stage, captivating the audience with soulful melodies and high-energy performances. DJ Ryan Nogar and DJ Ashton, known as Fusion Tribe, and other acts electrified the atmosphere, keeping everyone on their feet and dancing the night away.
Intruz de Majorda 2024 emerged as a true celebration of Goan culture, unity, and joy. It successfully brought together people from diverse backgrounds, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
