Approved Logos & Iconic Assets

Approved Logos

The following logos have been approved by the Office of Communications. The logos must be visually clear and in accompaniment with the High Point University wordmark. All logos will be used following the rules listed below.

HPU Bold

The HPU Bold logo is one of our mainstream images. This logo must be used in conjunction with a traditional High Point University wordmark. The font for High Point University is typically Centaur, but an alternative font may be used with approval from the Office of Communication. The HPU Bold logo may be used for retail merchandise, apparel, and visual publications.

The color and font of the University Seal is not as restricted as other iconic assets. While it is suggested to maintain the primary brand color integrity when using the seal, it is not required.

Roberts Hall Wordmark Use

The Roberts Hall wordmark may be used in place of the traditional wordmark. This wordmark has been historically used on printed materials and merchandise produced and used by the university. However, it is not used on external merchandise to be sold at retail. The Roberts Hall wordmark must always be used in conjunction with “High Point University.” It is never to stand alone without our full name. Additionally, the Roberts Hall logo must appear smaller in proportion to the name. The one-line and two-line wordmarks must also include the “The Premier Life Skills University” tagline as shown.

High Point University is moving away from the use of the Roberts Hall Wordmark, however it is still widely used across campus and is not yet considered an inactive logo.

Inactive Logos

In an effort to continue brand vision and alignment, the use of inactive logos is firmly restricted. Any form of communication that is still using an inactive logo or visual element must be reported to the Office of Communications.

The panther logo is no longer used to represent High Point University. This logo may be found at retail locations for a limited time as it is transitioned out with new merchandise; however, it may not be used by university offices or departments.

Logo Use for Schools, Colleges and Departments

Approved logos are available for university schools, colleges and departments. To the right are examples of college or school name treatments utilizing the one-line or two-line traditional wordmark and Roberts Hall wordmark. These logos may be reversed in the university primary brand colors located within this guide.

It is critical to note that not all university departments nor initiatives can create, design, nor modify their own logo unless otherwise noted within this style guide. All logos are approved by the Office of Communications.

Below are approved examples of departmental logo treatments using the one-line or two-line traditional wordmark. These logos may be reversed in the university primary brand colors located within this guide.
