Harley-Davidson India: The Street 750 becomes the Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2015

With motorcycles ranging from the mid segment Bajaj Discover 150F to the powerful and furious Triumph Daytona 675R, which were launched in India this year, we can surely imagine the difficulty the jury members had to face in selecting the best. To win this prestigious title, the Harley-Davidson Street 750 was challenged by KTM RC 390 and Suzuki Gixxer. What’s really astonishing here is the fact that all the top three contenders were from different segment and this proves that how excruciating the selection process bust have been for the juries.

The IMOTY 2015 award was handed to Anoop Prakash, managing director, Harley-Davidson India by Raghupati Singhania, chairman and managing director, JK Tyre along with Aspi Bhathena the chairman of IMOTY 2015.

When it comes to selecting the Indian Motor cycle of the Year there are various parameters that are considered that include price, mileage, looks, comfort, safety, performance, practicality, technical innovation and quite importantly popularity among buyers. Last year this accolade went to the Royal Enfield Continental GT before that it was KTM 200 Duke in 2013 and the Honda CBR 250R in 2012.
